About The Passage
The annual running cost of The Passage is in excess of £4 million and only 40% is funded from statutory sources, the remainder coming from charitable trusts, companies and donations from individuals and community organisations. The Passage’s mission is to provide the resources which encourage, inspire and challenge homeless people to transform their lives and every booking at Cathedral View directly supports this work.
To achieve our aim we welcome and treat clients with respect and dignity, ascertain their needs and aspirations and offer appropriate advice and assistance.
Our resource centre, located on the lower ground floor of the St Vincent’s Centre, provides a range of primary support services such as nutritious food, laundry services, shower facilities, warm clothing, housing advice and tenancy sustainment services, healthcare, employment, training and education services, access to alternative therapies and social activities to name just a few.
Our eight-strong team of Outreach Workers make contact, often late at night or early in the morning, with those sleeping rough in Westminster.
Our 40-bed hostel, Passage House, provides initial accommodation and high-quality support for homeless men with a range of support needs.
Our 16 self-contained studio flats in Montfort House specialise in helping, via our support staff, very long term rough sleepers.
There are a number of ways you can help support The Passage so please get in touch if you would like to find out more.
